2023 Wedding Trends

As the wedding season of 2022 comes to an end lets talk about 2023 wedding trends. At Lavish, we strive to give you quality weddings with fresh ideas and details that everyone will remember. Down below are trends that have already started to become big, and as we move into  2023 we predict they get even bigger.

  • Weekend-long events: what's better than a day to celebrate one of the specialist moments of your life? A whole weekend! It has become more common for couples to do a weekend of festivities. It usually starts with a welcome event such as a dinner or cocktail hour. Then the actual wedding, sometimes with an after party once it is over. Finally, it ends with a brunch where you get to thank everyone for coming and celebrating with you! Something great about a whole weekend is it allows you to mingle with all your guests and gets rid of the pressure of doing it all at the wedding. At Lavish, our couples will have us plan this three-day celebration to help it go as smoothly as possible. Since we already know our couples and the dynamics of the day, it makes it even easier on them for us to execute these three day celebrations.

  • Destination, Elopement, Mircroweddings: As we move out of an era where people were forced to have smaller weddings or none at all, we have seen an influx of couples wanting to elope or have a destination wedding. Intimate weddings have always been a  great way to celebrate with the ones you love, but many people want to get away with those loved ones. What better than getting away to celebrate with the people you love? Along with destinations and elopements; microweddings are still in high demand. This allows you to choose which elements of your wedding that you want to stand out that may not always be able to happen with larger weddings.

  • After-party dresses: Who doesn’t love an outfit change? We’re starting to see more brides wanting to change into a new dress after their ceremony dress to get more comfortable! This allows you to choose different styles if you are conflicted between a dress or wanted to wear a jumpsuit but still desired a traditional one! With an outfit change, it is always important to build it into your timeline of the day. That’s where we come in. At Lavish, we provide a detailed timeline of the day for our couples so everyone knows where to be and when. We provide small pocket sized timelines for all members of your wedding party and close family. No one needs to bother you with the details when you have someone working for you on your day!

  • Petite bouquets: Flowers are always an essential part of your wedding day; this year, they are taking a new style. This year we will see more brides have petite bouquets at their weddings. Petite bouquets are simple and timeless while not pulling away the details from the rest of the bridal party.

Mismatched bridesmaid dresses: Brides have already taken to the trend of the same color dresses but different styles for bridesmaids. This year, that trend will take an entirely new look. Bridesmaid will be wearing mismatched dress all in the same color palette but not the same color. It not only gives more freedom to the bridesmaids, but it allows some extra details to your wedding photos.

  • Statement florals: Statement florals have always been an incredible way to wow your guests. Even though we think petite bouquets will be in this year; florals will still be in full bloom. Statement florals make for a great backdrop during your ceremony or reception. Add your statement floral moment to one that will live in your photos forever!

  • Unique escort displays: Escort displays are always one of the best designs for your wedding as you can be as creative as you want. As 2023 nears, more couples will go for unique and custom escort displays. At Lavish, we work closely with our couples to create escort displays that reflect each couples dream and personality. We always want to provide you with a cohesive design and we want to give you the branded display that matches every aspect of the day! Let us provide you with the custom displays so that you can enjoy the last few weeks of planning without any stress!

  • Nontraditional guest books: Guest books have always been a great way to keep track of your guest and have something to remember them by. An alternative to the traditional book is round pieces of wood slipped into a structure, a telephone guestbook where guests can record a message, a polaroid guestbook, etc. We think this year will come with many new and fun guestbook ideas.

  • Pops of color/Palettes: This year will come with many exciting trends for weddings, but one we are  excited about is pops of color. During the design  process it is always exciting to pick the color palette for our couples. This year don’t shy away from pop of colors such as bold blues or pinks. Along with pops of color this years wedding  palettes will have tones of earth tone and rust colors. Our design team can incorporate these colors in anyway you want. We love being creative and making your dream details come to life.

Allow our team to guide you through the process of designing and planning your dream wedding. As we move into 2023 we are so excited to follow out many of the trends above with our couples.
